Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen have reached agreement on a €150 million ($171 million) transfer fee for Florian Wirtz, according to Fabrizio Romano. Wirtz will join Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong with a move this summer to Liverpool.
Wirtz and Liverpool have been zeroed in on each other for several weeks with him ready to leave Leverkusen.
Wirtz\'s contract expires in 2027 and Leverkusen would prefer not to allow him to enter the final season of his deal.
Wirtz has already visited Liverpool to look for houses should the transfer be agreed upon as most assume is inevitable.
Wirtz was the Bundesliga Player of the Season in 23-24 when Leverkusen won the Bundesliga. Wirtz had 16 goals and 15 assists last season as Leverkusen finished second behind Bayern Munich.
