Grizzlies/Magic

GRIZZLIES
In:Goga/KCP/Howard/16+Future FRP
Out:Bane/Konchar

The GRIZZLIES are improving their defense/depth + assets. KCP is likely to recover, and Goga is playing an important role, especially with Edey injured. They're entering a draft that's expected to be deep and have good role players. Bryant or Coward are likely still on the board + a future FRP for future trades.

MAGIC
In:Bane/Konchar
Out:Goga/KCP/Howard/16+Future FRP

There's been a lot of talk about the Magic needing a PG. I think with Wagner and Paolo driving the value so much, it's not as necessary. Bane gives them the elite shooting they so desperately need. Suggs/Bane/Wagner/Paolo/WCJ looks really good and a very good, complementary lineup.

should we include Black for Goga?

Not even close for Bane. Nothing to discuss here from the Memphis perspective.

I just can't see Memphis willing to trade Bane for a mid 1st and a future 1st.

Agreed w/others, this is bad for Memphis. KCP is almost washed and not deserving of his current contract, so thats being totally ignored in the proposal

Would do this in a heartbeat for Bane. Jett Howard is terrible and KCP forgot how to play basketball the second he got here. Goga will be one of the best value deals in the league if he plays decent minutes after we trade him.

Bane’s fantastic…but why would ORL spend that kind of trade equity to get smashed into the aprons without addressing real needs?

It would then flip Suggs for Garland

Great core, massive salaries…probably can’t stomach that in a small market - or any market with the CBA.

They’d be immediate contenders, imo…but probably have to blow it up. ORLownership would never dive in that deep, imo

This feel more like feels closer to a Coby White level return than a Desmond Bane level return. This package is atleast a 1st round pick and Anthony Black short from the Grizzlies even considering this.
