Re: New Orleans / Minnesota / Detroit
Great for Detroit.
Bad for Minnesota.
Good for New Orleans.
I would think Minnesota wants a player, in exchange for Randle, to help this year.
Detroit is adding an all-star talent without any future assets, which is exceptional.
New Orleans getting useful expiring is good for them.

Re: New Orleans / Minnesota / Detroit
What’s Randle’s contract going to be?
Pistons would hate to lose Stewart but definitely need a long term solution at PF. Tobias has been great last year but can’t expect him to be starter much longer. I’d rather cut NOP out and give Font, some draft capital and a S&T THJ to Minny to get a reasonable 3 year deal w Randle.
Cade/Schroeder?
Ivey/Beasley/Lanier
Ausar/Holland
Randle/Tobias
Duren/Stewart

Wolves have 0 interest in this. Murray is not very good and paid way too much for us.

Pelicans are flat out stealing value. Murray isn't getting anything positive back

Re: New Orleans / Minnesota / Detroit
Randle is coming off a good season and is "Detroitish" in his play and grit. His not much younger than Harris though and like others have said losing Stewart would be a blow. I just don't see the Pistons making a big move like this now, this is what Langdon has been consistently saying, nor why they should. Re-signing Beasley and Schroder seems to be the priority as well as keeping cap flexibility in order to sign their young players in the next year or two. Good options to find a PF to succeed Harris after this season should emerge. They may already have this player on their roster. I'm very okay with the Pistons being patient at least until the trade deadline.

I don't see the Wolves interested in that. I believe taking back THJ via a S&T would hardcap them at the 1st apron. Which, if Randle is outgoing they'd likely be wanting to bring back NAW, and hardcapping might prevent but also then what use would THJ be?

THJ would just be minimum amount needed for filler, so Minny could save some money. Getting draft assets would be the lure.

Nope. Stewart is the best bench big in the league. He doesn't need to be moved for Randle.

MIN has a better bench big already, with past 6MOY Naz Reid.

I don't think he is better than Naz Reid. He is probably better than Toppin but it's close. Gafford is probably better, similar caliber. Clingan/Ayton are also in the conversation.

I mostly agree that Reid is better than Stewart, but it depends a bit on what you are looking for in a backup big. For DET, who is playing a 21 year old with an apparent allergy to D, having a backup C who is a solid anchor on D is more important than the 6MOY-award-winning O that Naz Reid supplies
Would have loved Naz Reid as our starting PF, but I guess that ship has sailed
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

If Minnesota likes the idea of healthy DJM, and if Conley wanted to retire.. Dumars would still owe a good amount of value to Minnesota imo.
Minnesota is talented enough to survive half the season with DDV/Dilly/Alvarado..
