Chi-Dal-OKC-ATL

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat Jun 28, 2025 8:22 am

I think this one works for everyone
OKC gets a stud to back up Chet, and goes for 75 wins next year plus they free up a roster space
Dallas could REALLY use a guard like Coby to space the floor and get buckets
ATL could use a guy like KWill
Bulls reset, looking to the future

Dallas sends PJ Washington to OKC
Dallas gets CWhite

OKC sends Dieng to Chi along with the 2 future Den picks ('27/'29) and IJoe to ATL
OKC gets PJ

Atl sends their 2027 2nd to Chi
Atl gets IJoe

Bulls send Coby to Dallas
Bulls get Dieng/2 future Den picks and the ATL 2027 2nd

OKC ends up with
SGA/Wallace
Dort/Caruso
JWill/Wiggins
Chet/PJ
IHart/JWill
Sorber, KWill Topic deep bench

Dallas goes for it. Once Irving comes back, they could be a contender (assuming Flagg is a positive as a rookie). They also save almost $2 million
Coby/Christie
Klay/Hardy
Flagg/Martin
AD/Marshall
Lively/Gafford
Deep bench of Powell/Prosper/Williams (and more when Irving comes back)

Atl is going to try to win next year, and IJoe is great shooting off the bench for them
Young/?
Daniels/Joe
Risacher/Daniels
JJ/OO
KP/OO
Deep bench of Kobe/Vik/Newell/Gueye
Need a backup PG (maybe Ayo gets into this deal too?)

Bulls reset their team and add future picks
Ball/Ayo
Giddey/Huerter
Matas/PWill
Dieng/Noa
Vuc (trade him too, somehow)/Collins
Deep bench of JSmith, Carter, Phillips, Terry

No one is paying two normal firsts for PJ Washington.

Nor would Dallas have him going out and not get even one of them.

No the Bulls are not going to take 4 SRP's for Coby and compare the stats for Dieng and Patrick Williams and convince me it isn't laughable that you want to start a guy with nothing but 2 starts to show for 3 years in the NBA over even a guy some think is a walking corpse.

I know that if Dieng never saw a Bulls uniform and retired after playing 15 years with other teams, you'd campaign for him to be in their Ring of Honor
