OKC trade: Joe, Dieng, SAS 2027 top 16 protected 1st
Why for LAC: Doesn't seem likely they will extend powell since they dont want contracts on books beyond kawhi's deal. Get an asset and a replacement shooter for him
Why for OKC: add someone who can help get a bucket and lessen future tax bill

I don't think the Clippers are going to help the Thunder get another good player with positive value,unless they're getting their pick back.

Why not? the idea is to recoup asset for powell before he leaves in FA since they dont want him back on a multi year deal. what they owe to OKC is sunk cost.
