Free is free and fine. But when you have Luka and the clock on LBJ, I don’t think you go for free.

Or worry about cap space a year away. in a eh free agent summer.

Just by existing as a legit sized big man already helps. Being hyper athletic means vertical threat too. Yea it’s clear he’s got his short comings but my god the Lakers were trotting out hot garbage at C for years.

I wonder if trading AR15 is still on the table.

He is probably the best they can do in free agency, but I do expect an in-season trade to get someone who works better with Luka. I think Ayton is fine as an offensive engine off the bench. Let him do all his stat-padding crap and just help keep you alive in the minutes Luka sits.

Just intuition of course... I think the new ownership wants LeBron out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave... The LAKERS are going to try to get young, I love DFS but giving him 4 years was excessive.

It's fine. The Lakers aren't contending this season. They get a look at how Ayton and Luka fit together. Maybe they get a decent trade package for LBJ.
