Giddey to Suns?

Post#1 » by zimpy27 » Sat Jul 19, 2025 6:18 am

Suns need a PG more than the Bulls do.

What can make this trade possible?

Green for Giddey straight up?

Suns fans would love Giddey (it's been discussed on our boards), but by all reports the front office likes Green and a Giddey, Booker, Green line-up brings back memories of last year's discombobulated lineups.

Well Green for Giddey is what would make sense.

Giddey, Booker, Brooks, Dunn, Mark

Yeah I agree it makes sense and I'd love the trade personally, I was referring to a report from Gambo that the Suns want to keep Green to have him start with Booker. A sign and trade with Giddey for Green + incentives would be a great trade for the Suns though IMO.

BYC issues re s&t for Green
Giddey signing for very cheap would make it possible though, but then the Bulls would just match.

Makes sense for Phoenix, absolutely zero sense for the Bulls.

Give me Giddey all day, every day and twice on Sunday over Green.

How does Chicago not need a PG?

They traded a Zach LaVine last season, why would they trade for the Temu version of him?

When I suggested Kuzma+2031 first for Giddey, I was told Chicago probably wants a swap on top of it.

If Maluach isn’t involved, I don’t see how Phoenix can make the value work.

Without Giddey the Bulls aren't in desperate need of a PG but they're not in good shape.

They would likely start Ayo Dosunmu with Tre Jones getting half the minutes as Ayo would play some at the SG. But while trade machine fans see such a great deal for Green he's of no great use except for a big contract to balance the trade. Green is signed for 3 more years, this would mean the Bulls wouldn't have the money for Coby White and/or Ayo Dosunmu and no way Kevin Huerter next summer. What's their incentive to put all their back court eggs in Green's basket by taking on one big contract rather than 2 manageable deals? If Green was all that, the Suns wouldn't be so eager to trade him.

not good for the Bulls to help the Suns

Not your thread, I know.. but what value is actually being offered to Chicago to take Jalen Green’s contract?

I just don’t see a deal that makes sense for Chicago without involving Maluach, even if that pushes it too far in Chicago’s favor. There’s no more late firsts to trade..

I guess Mark Williams and something?

I would love the Cavs to move Garland for Giddey. Garland and Wade for Giddey and Buzelis would be ideal. Give Giddey like 4/110.

Not doing this for Chicago unless they throw in an asset like Fleming or Oso.

Lol no, don't want to give up Giddey for Garland let alone in Buzelis, that is insane from a Chicago POV.

Suns finally need to accumulate assets not throw away them.

Suns want green.

Only thing that I would do is

Giddey for Allen, Royce, and a future 1st and 2nds or just 2nds.

TBH Green > Giddey.

Green is a better athlete, and will continue his abilities as his career extends.
Giddey is an average athlete.

Haha this is nuts. Bulls should throw in something not the Suns.

Green is 23 and I can bet money he avg 25 ppg next season

Okay cool he's a better athlete, good thing that being a better basketball player is what matters in the game of basketball and Giddey is a better player than Green.
