Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
You guys got a long look at him last year. Magic just signed him to a two-way.
Can he play?

Re: Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
He should not be more than your 3rd or 4th C if you want to compete.
CJr, Bitadze, Mo Wagner, Orlando Robinson. Really he's GLeague level.

When everyone is healthy, Robinson will be 4th in line for minutes and very likely won't dress.
But Moe Wagner is coming off a torn ACL and we're not totally sure where he's at rehab wise. It's possible he misses time at the beginning of the year if they opt to work him back in slowly.
Could open the door for some scrap minutes here or there for Robinson early on.

I thought OR was pretty decent as a third stringer. He seemed to improve through the season.

He's a fringe NBA player. Nothing more to it than that.

Re: Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
Robinson is the 2nd best Center this franchise has had since 2020. You can take that as a positive or a negative lol.
There was no reason to cut bait with him for the scrub Castleton unless things happened behind the scenes. Ideally, hes a GREAT 3rd C on a team who can play well enough to not sink you.

He's so so on offense and so so on defense. Can hit the occasional 3 too. As long as he's not in the rotation as the 3rd C until Mo comes back you'll be fine. I guess he's kind of like a poor man's Mo Wagner.

Good 3rd line C. Better than our 3rd stringer

He's ok as a 3rd big but you could be in for big trouble if you have to have him be a 2nd big for extended period.

Fringe NBA player that can soak up some minutes if needed. No reason to over-think it.

He played well for us at times and filled some valuable minutes especially when Poetl was injured. I would not have minded having him back. I wish him well.

Re: Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
Better than Castleton and Ulrich currently for sure, but still just a 3rd stringer at most. If he isn’t going to have to play higher than that in the rotation he will be just fine. I actually think a better team would be better for him bc they would probably be able to hide his flaws or handle his flaws a little better

Re: Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
I didn't get to watch him play much but he can definitely fill up the statsheet with his rebounding.

He's a negative value over replacement NBA player.

Re: Orlando Robinson Thoughts?
Honestly, is this a first having a guy with the same first name as the city he is playing in? Orlando in Orlando.
He seems destined for great things. I have always liked OR. He has spot up and shoot the three a bit and can defend the rim. He was a high level player, but as a practice big and some added size for Orlando, it is a good move. He's a lot like Dewayne Dedmon.

I think he was OK as 5th option on a tanking team, but for a contender he should be a 3rd stringer, basically get minutes when the main C or backup C are out, or in blowouts. Or if the main guy at C is in foul trouble.
Edit: it'll be a while till the Raptors sign a guy whose 1st name is Toronto.
