Heat Explored Trades For Terry Rozier

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jul 29, 2025 5:23 am

The Miami Heat looked into trading Terry Rozier this offseason, sources told Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

The team looked into a swap between Rozier and Marcus Smart, though there was no consensus that the move was a clear upgrade.

Rozier is currently under federal investigation for betting irregularities, though he has not been charged.

Rozier has been cleared by the NBA of any wrongdoing.

Rozier averaged 10.6 points and 3.7 rebounds last season.

Is this supposed to be news? Of course they tried to move him. He sucks and he's owed $27m this season! They had to call every team at least twice on this.

I know MIA wanted out of the Lowry business, but the Rozier trade might have been Riley's worst trade ever. They gave up a 1st for him!
