The Sacramento Kings have offered Jonathan Kuminga a three-year, $63 million deal as part of a proposed sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors, sources told Sam Amick of The Athletic.
The Kings have offered Malik Monk and a lottery protected 2030 first-round pick to the Warriors. If the pick doesn't convey, the Warriors would get the least-favorable pick between the Kings or Spurs first-round pick in 2031.
Under that trade scenario, the Warriors would have to move salary to stay under the first apron.
It was reported earlier this week that the Warriors are looking for an unprotected first-round pick in exchange for Kuminga. With the lack of trade offers that interest them, the team now expects Kuminga to be on the roster to start the season.
Amick adds that trade discussions between the Suns and Warriors never got serious.
Kuminga continues to decline the Warriors' two-year, $45 million contract offer.
