Billy Lange has left his role as head coach of Saint Joseph's to become an assistant coach for the New York Knicks. Lange was set to enter his seventh season at Saint Joseph's.
Lange was an assistant coach in the NBA for several seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers under Brett Brown. Lange also has ties to Jay Wright from his multiple stints on his coaching staff at Villanova. Lange had already left Villanova for the NBA when Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart joined the program.
The Knicks hired Mike Brown as head coach after a prolonged search. New York has similarly filled out their assistant coaching staff over an extended period of time.
