So he chose the option that paid him the most with the earliest release in the end.

FINALLY! The Dubs are free at last.

Pretty much what I expected. At no point did I buy the QO threat, it's too much money to leave on the table -- for both JK and agent Aaron Turner who blew Oladipo's deal.

It's a slight overpay given what he has produced on the court, but the Warriors need the salary slot and it's only 2 years (technically 1 guaranteed). Really glad this is finally over and the Warriors did not cave on a player option. Sorry Aaron, you didn't turn the TO into a PO. And from what it sounds like, the team got a TO so Turner really didn't get what he was looking for.

If there really is a team option then this is a huge win for the dubs

Warriors got played. Hopefully this puts an official end to their attempted two timelines joke.

That's basically a one year deal with the team option so not even an overpay.

A bit surprised that it is 1+1 TO instead of the rumored 2 + 1 TO, but either one is the most likely result. No way Kuminga would give up all that money for 9 mils qualifying offer, and Warriors didn't buy into Kuminga's fake. Warriors now have an option to carry Kuminga to align with Curry/Buter/Green's contract or trade him.

he is getting shipped in Jan. We are basically paying him to keep the salary high enough to bring back a meaningful player that can help Steph's chance to win.

Warriors won a title in 2022 due to Steph's greatness but man, they screwed up this 2 timeline BS.

Valuing Kuminga like an allstar but giving him DNPs in the playoffs and only playing him when you get an injury. Make it make sense lol

He plays the Jordan Poole role. Come in and put up volume shots on low efficiency when Curry and/or Butler need to rest during the season.

I think most dubs fans put it on the front office. They had three decent lottery picks and only needed to hit 1 but whiffed on all of them. Could have had Hali, franz or sengun. Just one makes us a hell of a lot better.

That had to suck if you were one of the players committed to GS waiting on this to finally get done. I don't know that you even feel comfortable playing in pickup games until you've signed on the dotted line.

nobody put it on the front office. these were Lacob's picks, and Myers was not there to fight..

They got what they wanted. This was their offer from day 1. How did they get played?

Ownership/ front office is the same thing to me.

Either way I don’t put it on the coaching staff.

lol yeah they literally got everything they wanted. Only 1 year of guaranteed money with a team option and now he's tradeable as well this season. I would say it's mission accomplished.
