Would he be willing to play center

I don't think Milwaukee is getting more than KAT and future firsts. I'm not ripping apart the team as constructed, and apparently neither is Leon.

The biggest thing is Giannis identified New York as his preferred destination. In today’s NBA landscape stars dictate where they will play. Seems like now it may only be a matter of time. Cuz Milwaukee surely won’t be getting any better.

He’s gonna play the 4. KAT at the 5. We’ll unfortunately have to part with Mitch, Josh and filler.

Win it all this year or be ready for change next year. That’s the message. :D

It really depends on how much ownership meddles with this for us to real chance we have at Giannis. Like if the Bucks owners want to be like the bulls and be play in fodder until they can recoup their picks from all their title trades is our only hope. Even then I think I’d rather Sengun and whatever other kids they have than Kat and Mikal for that process.

Am I crazy or is this implying they had an exclusive negotiating window with the Bucks BEFORE they made the packages for KAT and Mikal?

The Knicks have had an eye on Antetokounmpo for the past couple of years under president Leon Rose, who heads a front office that built the franchise into a perennial playoff contender since taking over in 2020. People in league circles, including some in New York, have believed since 2024 that Antetokounmpo would eventually want to come to the Knicks if he ever explored a trade.

Even with that knowledge, the Knicks made a series of moves independent of Antetokounmpo's potential desires to try to move the franchise closer to a title. New York traded its treasure chest of draft picks to acquire Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in June 2024, then sent Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-rounder to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Karl-Anthony Towns in early October 2024. The Knicks then signed Bridges to a four-year, $150 million extension this August, which makes him ineligible to be traded until February.

Those maneuvers left the Knicks' pool of nonplayer assets limited to one first-round pick, three pick swaps and eight second-rounders, essentially decimating their ability to make an overwhelming offer to Milwaukee. As is, the Knicks, who are coming off an appearance in the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years, enter the season as the co-favorites in the East along with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It does mention that the Knicks never felt the Bucks were serious about dealing him, so maybe that's why. But you're begging for drama to report it this way.

edit: nvm, shams just implying they knew they'd eventually have a window to get him before the Mikal deal. But the exclusive window was this summer when they had nothing left to offer.

We can't really trade many picks due to the Mikal trade right? I assume Mil wanted KAT, Josh, and McBride?

Shams isn’t doing the knixks FO any favors. This sounds like it was absolutely leaked by the Bucks. It also sounds like the Bucks want the knicks to up their offer or for another team too. I would not be surprised if they want to move Giannis and Kuzma and probably want the Knicks to make outside moves for draft picks.

realistically, it's kat and one of og or mikal. and that's still a a bad trade for them before you get upset about it.

Marc stein reported a while ago that rival teams think we made the KAT trade to use him in an offer for Giannis

I’m getting tired of stars trying to force their way here but keep themselves clean. That’s why these teams keep trying to scam us for everything they can.

They want to keep their rep, get themselves paid by signing extensions, and pretend that we can still win a chip after gutting our whole team. They’re only allowed 2 of the 3.

Giannis is 30 years old. **** loyalty. Pull some James Harden shyt if you want to be here.
