Neemias Queta a bet for this year?

Post#1 » by Joao Saraiva » Mon Oct 13, 2025 1:24 pm

Hello Celtics fans.

I'm portuguese so I have an extra interest in his career. Do you feel like he's gonna start or be an important part of the rotation this year? I'd like to know what you guys think on that.

I personally think Queta is going to be the starting center and Mazzulla and the Celtics are just limiting his minutes in the preseason because he played so much during the off-season for Portugal. Only time will tell.

I’m still sticking with him as the starter. I think his light minutes in pre season are more about he had a full off season with euro basket.

Last night, as soon as Queta started to do Queta things, like rebound at both ends, Mazulla pulled him.

I'm expecting Queta to have a big year. He is an underrated player and the people around the league are going to know about him this season.

Not only that but he had knee surgery during the offseason.

Knee surgery + playing for Portugal in FIBA eurobasket = not too surprising his mins are limited.

I think there's a chance he's our starting center but I won't be totally sure until Joe actually announces that to be the case. And since his mins have been so limited in preseason, perhaps he won't start..we'll see..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

He's gonna play limited minutes until he controls his fouls. Otherwise, he'd foul out by halftime of every game.

Queta is going to be our Starter. He's at least a Backup Center.
There are still some more experienced Centers out there, but doesn't look like we're bringing anyone in. So, he's our best.

Usually not a problem as a bench guy but I can see that. In a recent interview he said he was working on controlling his body flow better tough. Let's see if the approach is the same with an increase of minutes on the court.
