So, I think we're in Philly.

Poeltl will be better than Barnes against Embiid. But we will need our shooting here. I would play Battle more than Walter and Dick. We need to have gravity here.

The starting line up isn't working great. We should make early subs and get energy in fast. I would use IQ off ball with Shead at the 1 maybe even RJ.

Poeltl / CMB
Barnes / Mamu
Ingram / Mogbo
IQ / Battle
RJ / Shead

This wins its for us. I'd even try Battle at PF next to Mamu when Embiid is off the floor. Get the shooting in and set the tempo. We need to win the minutes he's off the ball and then go at him when he's on and wear him down.

Otherwise if we can stop Maxey we probably win this easily. Crowd him and make him drive then use long defenders and help defense to cut off the drives and make hard close outs. Mogbo would be very good for that.

The key would be to adjust at the half. Sit the cold players who are making mistakes and play the hot ones a lot.

Mamu has been incredible for us this season. We need a big game from him and he's due. I expect Jakub to continue playing well. I will say Embiid is more than likely out today. This is a very winnable game without him even if Maxey goes off for 40 points.

Honestly, for the health of our players, I'd rather not.

He hasn't played since our first game. I doubt he's playing tonight

No Embiid, George and Oubre.

Gonna be all about stopping Maxey and making sure guys like Grimes, Edwards, Watford, Edgecombe don't go off, which they should be able to do. Especially with a healthy Yak this time around.

Important game.

Gives us the split.
After long road trip, then one at home, then back on the road for 1 game, it's easy to just want to get the game over and get back home for awhile.

So keeping in the right headspace is important. But so is trying to stop Maxey. And can we not let Watford be a huge player in this game? He got lots of rebounds last game but having Yak back will help with that.

But overall, their speed is their weapon. We need to play well to win. Hope there us no emotional letdown after last game.

Last meeting Oubre and Embiid combined for 48 points and they are both out. Watford hasn't even scored double digits since going off for 20 against us (figures lol). Poeltl can more than hold his own against tubby Drummond. Who cares about Maxey. He always goes off against us, but I highly doubt he and some rookie are going to beat us with the way we're playing.
