Hou - Sac
Hou Gives:
Battier + M. James + Kirk Snyder
Sac Gives:
Artest + SAR
Why for Houston: Get a legit 3rd option. This deal is contingent on Artest signing an extension.
Alston/TMac/Artest/Hayes/Yao
Why for Sac: Turns SAR into Snyders expiring. Battier is close to Artest on the defensive side, and is still young enough to be a stabilizing voice for their young transition.

But is just so far apart in every other single aspect of the game it just isn't something Sac should even remotely consider. I do like Battier though.

No, turns SAR into Mike James, who has the same contract than SAR.
And then, turns Artest into Battier+Snyder.
Clearly no from the Kings.

Bibby's perceived value here always amazes me. I'm interested to see what he looks like when he gets back, because I doubt he'll worth anywhere near what the Kings are looking for in just a month back from injury. He probably stays a King unless Petrie comes down from these demands.
I can see Artest getting traded though. Kings have a lot of talent at the swing positions. I don't know if he's worth quite this much though, on an expiring contract where there's no way to completely guarantee he'll re-sign.

Umm, this deal is about Artest NOT Bibby...

Which is exactly why most Kings fans have said we are perfectly content to wait until Bibby can come back and is able to show exactly how valuable he is.
Most Kings fans were saying the same thing about Brad Miller, and if you've seen his stats for the season, you'd know we were right about Brad, and we will be right about Mike.

Personally, I think you just got lucky with predicting Miller to come back strong. Bibby coming back strong is a lot more likely.

Nah, Miller got in tremendous shape, better than I have ever seen him to be honest and Theus is using him much better as well. Losing 25 pounds and working out like a madman isn't luck at all.
Miller deserves all the credit for his play and he derserves to reap the rewards.

Naw it wasn't that difficult...we went from Musselman to ....well...anything was an improvement in the coaching ranks at that point. Theus has been amazing so far as a rookie coach.
