i noticed this too, a relative of mine has this disease and is about 6 foot 2, it seems to make co-ordination 5 times tougher, but this is curable

7'7 doesn't mean crap. Go to China and there are around 20 pro bball players above the 7'3 height.
Freakishly tall guys are notorious for becoming Posters. Think Bradley and Yao. Also in college he might be blocking everyone, but in college you have a lot of undersized bigs who are 6'6 6'7. If he has to play against 7 footers with quickness I don't think he will be as effective.
Imagine if he had to cover Bosh on the baseline. Bosh can fly to China come back dunk, and this dude would still be pivoting his foot.
I would much rather go with a guy like Hibbert.
