memphis/philly trade idea
memphis sends gay and swift
philly sends iguodala and evans
Why for memphis igoudala would be a better fit in the starting line up. new line up conley, a.i., miller, gasol and darko
Why for philly. I realize that at this point andre is a little better than gay but at the same time gay has more potential. So this quite evens the thing but the most important thing thats this trade makes is how it position philly to be a major player in the 2009 f.a. market and at the same time they have a lot of talent. New line up after the trade miller, carney, young, gay and dalembert.

I guess it comes down to incentive. What's in it for Philly? Why are they dealing the better player? You can talk about the stats being exactly the same, and they essentially are, but Iggy is a far superior defender and doesn't have the luxury of playing off of guys like Gasol and Mike Miller...
