Lakers need a big man. what you got?
because Bynum went down for two months, the Lakers are looking quite thin at center. this is what we have to work with.
Kwame Brown (exp), Sasha (exp), Odom (just one more season), Walton, Radmanovic, Trevor Ariza, Chris Mihm (exp), picks and IN THE RIGHT TRADE, Javaris Crittenton or Jordan Farmar.
not going anywhere: Kobe, Bynum, Fisher, Turiaf, and the two young pg's (unless of course the trade calls for one of them to be added)
we would like a big man back, one who plays defense and has a decent midrange shot.
hopefully a decent center but big powerforwards can work here also.

from the pacers...
murphy for vladrad, vujacic
obviously this doesn't fit your 'defense' qualifier but dude can be a more aggressive, better rebounding toni kukoc for phil.
o'neal, diener for odom, kwame, crittenton
this obviously covers jump-shooter (albeit not at a high %) and defense. when bynum returns that is the scariest defensive frontcourt in the league. but this would be a pretty big shakeup for the lakers so probably not preferable.
harrison for vujacic
shuffle of random parts.
other options...
TRADE
shelden williams
dan gadzuric
jamaal magloire
SIGN
dale davis
dj m'benga
jackie butler

How about Jeff Foster and Marquis Daniels for Kwame and either of the young PG's?
If Indy looks to cut salaries, this could be a deal they would look for. LA would just have to wait an extra year for Foster's contract to expire and to decline Daniels' option if they want out of it. Basically, extending Kwame's expiring into next year.

But I think it's more likely they sign a FA(Webber preferably, more likely Mbenga) or trade the expiring of Vujacic for a lower-tier guy.
Eh...Radman would be completely buried at SF/PF behind Granger, Williams, JO, and Diogu. Murphy at least plays the PF/C and would earn minutes.
Find a way to swap Radman out to another team for a better option than Radman (like a PG with a somewhat similar or shorter deal).
If we could send Radman to Cleveland in that deal and pick up Eric Snow, I'd do that deal. But, Radman in Indy? He's just a horrible fit, even though he's ok with jacking up 3's all night long.

I'd do the Philly trade as long as u change the first to a 2nd or to two 2nds since Philly gets Critt. Dally would be the shotblocker we need during Bynum's recovery plus when Bynum returns Dally can play along side each other when we play teams like the Spurs & Mavs because he can defend Duncan and Dirk with his length. He also would be huge to our second unit against other teams because his rebounding and shot blocking would work wonders with the second units fast pace play.
