It's a legit ... rumor. :)

I can see why the Suns would be interested. They need more guys to facilitate so that they done burn out Nash. I would absolutely love to swap Odom and Marion, or AK47.

AK47? I'd have to think about it. Marion? From the way the Lakers looked during the Kobe-Bynum duo, I'd do it.

I don't understand what you guys mean by consistency? Players have "averages" for a reason.

Odom has consistently put up these numbers over his career:

PTS REB AST FT FG
15.7 8.7 4.5 0.709 0.454

And is one of the most versatile PF's in the game.

He's a valuable piece to this teams success.

u know what...many of u probably know me as a big LO fan..but its time for him to move on...he hasnt proved anything since hes been here..and he cannot play consistant with kobe..I want him to go to the suns and wish him the best...and i know he can play great with the suns since its uptempo and when u play with a great point guard like nash, anything can happen.

Marion or AK?

id take marion..why? Ak may have the good defense but when we need a scorer if kobe and bynum is having off nights marion can be the guy. There has been many times this season where we needed more scoring for our "2nd" option..

Marion for Odom..

lets hope odom does good tommorow.

Do I get to choose only between Ak and Marion? I was leaning more towards EB and Boozer.

We need Eric Pincus to confirm this or we shall refuse to believe.

Agreed. I'd add that if Bynum has truly become the 2nd option then the Lakers needs have changed as well. I love and have mad respect for LO. But Marion's rebounding and, more importantly, his defense are more critical needs than LO's offensive versitility.

Marion to Utah
Odom to Sucks
AK to LA

I'd do it in the off-season with a training camp ahead, but at this point I'm not sure. I go back and forth, I mean one day I like what Odom brings, and another day I think he is easily replacable - even with a bench player like Ariza, or Walton. I don't know, but playoff time, Odom has not disappointed. He plays pretty well overall, and if he can do that playoff production as a 3rd option behind Bynum, we are legit.

If Bynum were healthy, then I would take either Marion or AK. They're two superior defenders. Two of the best defenders in the league. We don't need any particular amount of scoring with a healthy Bynum, Kobe, and Fisher. Just somebody who wouldn't be an offensive liability, and neither Marion nor
AK are. Both are scrappy players who hustle and get points without any plays being called for them.

I would take defense over offense, especially when we're talking about Odom's offense. I wouldn't even worry about their offensive contributions, it's not as if Odom has been a seamless and reliable scorer himself. True, Odom has been pretty solid in the playoffs, but then again, he won't be getting the same number of shot attempts and possessions that he's gotten in the past. If Bynum is healthy, then maybe we'd be better off with a guy who might fit better, who can be relied upon for his specific role.

We don't need to trade Odom (at least, I don't think we do), but I do think those two other players are upgrades.
