Please bench Mcinnis

Post#1 » by Rich4114 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 3:31 am

He has officially entered Primoz territory for me. He's even on the same rotational pattern as Primoz was in the beggining of the season where he starts, looks really bad and helps us do crappy in the 1st quarter and part of the 2nd, starts the 2nd half, goes to the bench, and our real PG runs the team for the last 15 mins and looks good doing it.

So if we play our best basketball when Mcinnis is NOT on the court (-11 today with Mcinnis, +8 with Felton) why do we start him and let him run the team for 25+ mpg???

Also SV really needs to expand his rotation, this 7 man rotation is going to kill us down the stretch. Especially once we hit those long road trips. Thankfully he's letting Hammer get some mins now, but we need to continue to work Dudley, Hollins, and Super Jamario into the rotation with Nazr and Hammer.

I'm happy we're playing better, but the way we look when Mcinnis is in there is incredibly frustrating and I really hope we do something about it.

As for Felton, the only thing I'd like to see more is calling for some screens at the top of the key so he can get into the paint more which always presents us with positive opportunities.

Don't bench our good luck charm!

Unless I'm missing out on a seldom-used player (like Dudley, or Hollins)....the guy with the best record as a starter is........

.........Jeff McInnis!

I'll give him that too fats, he clearly likes being here. But I guess the reason for that is if he went anywhere else he wouldn't have a job, much less be a starter.

We play our worst basketball with him as the PG, he let Carlos Arroyo blow by him constantly even without picks.
