As far as not working, on the Bulls board, a deal was suggested that Duhon instead of Thabo would work. I know thats probably not as appealing for New Jersey, but Chicago is giving up the best player in the deal. Even if taking out Thabo meant removing Williams and replacing it with like a future second rounder or something, I could live with that as a Bulls fan.

What about?
Bulls Trade:
Chris Duhon, Andres Nocioni, Joe Smith, and Adrian Griffin
Bulls Receive:
Jamaal Magloire, Antoine Wright, Bostjan Nachbar, Jason Collins, 2008 2nd Round Pick, and Darrel Armstrong
Bulls Roster:
PG: Kirk Hinrich/Darrel Armstrong
SG: Ben Gordon/Antoine Wright
SF: Luol Deng/Thabo Sefolosha
PF: Tyrus Thomas/Bostjan Nachbar/Jason Collins
C: Ben Wallace/Joakim Noah/Jamaal Magloire
Nets Roster:
PG: Jason Kidd/Chris Duhon
SG: Vince Carter/Adrian Griffin
SF: Richard Jefferson/Andres Nocioni
PF: Josh Boone/Sean Williams
C: Joe Smith/Nenad Kristic/Malik Allen
I mean I personally don't even like the basis of the trade. But i figure that this trade gives the nets a big man that can actually play plus Nocioni...

So the price for Nocioni and Selafosha/Duhon is expiring contracts and a point guard who has played 2 minutes (total) this year...
Talk to the Spurs friend, I think they might offer more value...
Nocioni's BYC value - 8.5 Million current salary, previous salary 3.95 M. Half of 8.5 M is 4.25M. His outgoing value is 4.25M
Duhon is worth 3,248,000, Selafosha 1,805,160
The Duhon/Noc combo is worth ~7.5 M (going out) and ~ 11..75 M (coming in).
The Thabo/Noc Combo is worth ~6.1 M going out and ~ 10.3 coming in.
Running the math, assuming both teams over salary cap, the returning package to Chi must be
for Thabo&Noc - worth less than 7.67M & more than 8.16 M (ie. to do this, some sort of Trade exception is needed)
for Duhon & NOC - worth less than 9.47 M and more than 9.32 M (ie you can do this without a Trade Exception).
add a minimum salary to the Duhon&Noc package makes to the bulls between 9.66 and 10 M.
SA can offer
Barry, Elson, Vaughn
for
Nocioni, Duhon, Scrub (to be waived for the Bulls to resign)
Either side might ask for picks (eg SA 1st for Chi's best available 2nd). Also, SA does have a Trade exception, http://www.realgm.com/src_team_exceptions/all/ , but don't know for how much, so I haven't used it...

Sorry, their appears to be something screwed up in William's profile ...
http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile/67 ... _williams/
The last line in the Stats block says he played 1 game for a total of 2 minutes in 07/08. Mind you, looking at it closely, it also says he is playing for San Antonio... and the line before has him playing for NJ (which he actually does) Something is F'ed up. Still, he's nothing that I would call more than a back-up PG. From his 1st year to 2nd year, his stats have dropped across the board... Not a good sign when he is supposed to be developing (Mpg 16.6 to 9.7, Rb/40 5.1 to 4.5, Ast/40 8 to 5.8, St/40 1 to 0.8, Pts/40 16.4 to 13.6, FG% 39.5 to 28.3).

Disgusting for NJ.
We trade all of our "trade filler" expirings, and it does not make us much better, if at all. It does however derail plans for fiscal responsibility, with Andres' oversized contract. People see this as a stepping stone trade, on the path to a larger deal with RJ for a bigman; but if we trade our expirings, we don't have enough incentive to do any of those trades. Without at least surrendering two our of young bigman trio, that is.
Smells like Kiki, and I don't like it...

Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.
