The more I thought about it, the less I was worried Hedu would take Jamison's spot. Cmon, the guy is one of five 20-10 players in the league.

Can't wait for the C fans to start screaming bloody murder that Ray Allen wasn't picked over Hamilton.

Caron is a beast...imagine what the Lakers would be like if you didn't rape them in that trade.

Ever since MJ played his last all-star game representing the Wizards all our players performances have been, well not really all-star caliber, at the game.

Now, obviously simply being recognized and honored by being voted in the all-star game is a great achievement, but I'm just saying that I would really like to see some fancy performances from one of our guys in New Orleans.

wow, I've seen it all... some Orlando fans are wishing/hoping AJ gets hurt so Hedo can play in the All star game. It's the freaking all star game. Go check out their board.

We can play that game too. If Dwight Howard goes down it opens a slot for BTH.

I'm so happy Caron and Jamison got on the team and I hope a Wizard can have a great all-star performance instead of playing like they don't belong their. Next year Haywood needs to be on the ballot!

Bah. The whole balloting / fan-voting approach is absurd anyway, and has produced plenty of absurd results. All players should be eligible and should be picked by coaches or other knowledgable individuals. As far as I'm concerned, Caron and Antawn earned a greater honor than the starters (though of course many starters would have been picked by the coaches anyway).

Edit: Though I don't see any absurd results this year -- some questionable ones, maybe, but not absurd ones.

Haha. Haywood starting the All-Star game would be $$$. Stranger things have happened. Did anyone remember that article floating around the internet which was supposed to be from the Redskins long snapper Ethan Albright? Well, it wasn't actually from him, but it was an angry (and hilarious) letter to Madden for giving him the lowest rating of all NFL players in Madden '06 or '05 or thereabouts. Long story short, he's in the pro bowl this year.

Wow, I didn't know Magic fans were that desperate to get Hedo on the All Star team that they'd hope Jamison "breaks his ankle".

I also love how the only things they use against Jamison and for Hedo is that Hedo's stats "mean more" to his team and that he plays a bigger role, and that the Magic have a 3gm lead.

Because why use actual reasoning that can be proven when you can pull out the good ol' importance card.

I don't mean to say all Magic fans, though. Many were actually very reasonable and instead pointed to Joe Johnson making the team (a legitiment reason for complaint). I just have a hard time understanding how any fan could wish injury over a freaking All Star game.

Orlando fans should worry more about Joe Johnson making the team rather than Jamison. If anything, Johnson being in screwed over guys like Billups, Calderon, and even Hedo.

Seriously. Anyone who feels like their player(s) got snubbed should be focusing all their attention on JJ, who isn't even the first guy I'd nominate from his own team.

I don't know about Rip Hamilton making it either. If I were to chose a rep from Detroit, I'd go with Chauncey, who IMO is a step above Rip.

Between Hamilton and Joe Johnson, there should have been a spot for Calderon, or possibly Hedo. I'd be ok even with Shaq for pure comedic value.

Or better yet, give the East 10 spots, and let some combination of Baron Davis, Deron Williams, and Manu Ginobili take over for Rip and Joe Johnson.

Return to Washington Wizards
