What's great about this team...

Post#1 » by bstein14 » Sat Feb 9, 2008 6:12 am

Tonight Billups had 17 points in the first quarter.

Yet he didn't play the second, and barely looked for his own offense in the 3rd.

How many NBA players are like that? Very few.

Sheed tonight wanted to be taken out 6 minutes into the third to give the young guys more time to play.

These guys could care less about their stats.

Its all about winning, and all about letting their younger teammates have a chance.

Just thought I'd share this after seeing Carmelo try to drop 50, and jack up shots in the final minutes even tho he was double teamed.

That must be disappointing to get the win, but score only 49.

So close. Maybe next time.

Basically after half way through the second quarter, we didn't need any of the starting unit to be on the floor, that was the beauty of a blowout.

Sure it's great but I'll be alot happier if they continue this in the playoffs.

I never really felt selfishness was one of the problems we faced in the playoffs.

Billups would occasionally try to do too much, but not because he was aiming to get his.
