He is still talking, but he just said that he will not consider taking a position with the Maple Leafs....

I was glad to hear him explain Jose's contract situation. Apparently you can't extend a contract that is less than 4 years in length? maybe this is elementary to some people...

While it has been mentioned on the board a few times over the past year, there are few things from the CBA where it's fair to say they're "elementary"... you'd have to be a bit of a CBA nerd (like me!) to remember most of the rules. :)

felt the same way too when i heard the comment about joey, seems dude has fallen so hard on the order off the bench. I think he can be a piece on a major trade IMO. will fit in nicely on a team like philly

BC commented that TJ's defense is underrated and Jose's defense needs work (ie bad in good PR terms)

Who on Philly would he play over? Iggy, Carney, Williams, Young, Evans, Smith? Not really a good fit, in my opinion.

BC basically said it's uo to Joey to get back into the rotation by playing hard EVERY night.

That's gonna be hard to do when you don't play every night.

God gifted Joey with a body, but screwed him on the brain. They love Joey in Oaklahoma and New Orleans. Let's trade his a$$ for Hilton Armstrong. Get er done BC.

I'm a Mitchel supporter so this isn't hate towards him but I'm sure it will turn into it but I caught the tail end of the interview and found it odd (for lack of a better word) that BC said we have to do a better job of defending out on the perimeter, smalls and bigs which I agree with but I took it as a shot at Sam and not the players because we supposedly have some of the best wing defenders in Parker, Delfino and Moon but still can't defend the 3 point shot on many nights when we should be able to ... this is just my opinion but I think the worst thing that could have happened for BC was for Mitchel to win the coach of the year award and I really do not think that he's BC's guy going forward ... who is, I have no idea but I don't think it will be Sam ... what's anyones opinion on Larry Brown as a coach? supposedly he has the "itch" again

I've been thinking the same thing all year but BC can't really do anything about it, can he? He can't really justify hiring a new coach unless we somehow bomb the rest of the season or really screw up in the playoffs.

Larry Brown is a proven winner, but he is also sure to create controversy everywhere he goes.

that's just it ... I'm not sure if we're a great team underacheiving or a good team playing at the level we're destined to or a young team going through the growing pains to get to be a great team and I'm not sure if any of the reasons are because of Sam Mitchel ... if a team does just well enough to give the glimmer of hope that they'll be great one day, the coach may not be viewed as the problem and tinkering may be done with the line up to the point that the destined to be great team is no longer together and we're starting over ... see the Bulls ... The Bulls were a good team and Phil Jackson was braought in and the eventually turned into a dynasty ... The lakers were a good team and Phil Jackson was brought in and the same thing happened ... The Pistons were a good team and Larry Brown was brought in ... now this may be all coincidence and the young good team was toghether long enough to become great or it was the final push of a "winner" coach ... are the Raps in need of that "winner" coach or just time under Mitchel to reach their ultimate goal? ... I don't know

teams around us have gotten better and more skilled. plus they no longer look at the raptors as an easy win so they prepare for us better. IMO it has very little to do with sam and alot to do with the players on your roster.
