It's great for Al.

But now, I will be a little negative regarding these numbers, because we already saw last year that even Shelden can average 10+ rebounds a game with around 30 minutes a game.
Maybe it is part of the reason why w this team is lmost at the same record than last year at this moment...

Don't get me wrong, Horford is a fantastic player.

Well, Shelden didn't play against the competition Horford is playing against night in and night out. And he did that only a handful of times so there's no rock hard evidence there than he would average 10 a game. But for real, Shelden was an elite college player, he probably could average 10 boards a game and that wouldn't add any negativity towards Horford's accomplishment. The difference is Shelden can't really do anything else.

If Joe was playing as well this year as he did last year we'd be fighting for that 3rd seed. Despite Woodson.

We have way too many negatives to be able to see the positives.
Shelden is a serviceable big man, just not a difference maker. He should be in the rotation, even for 5-10 minutes per night.
Horford has performed well, and he has shown he can do more than Zaza given the same minutes for each. He is our best answer in the low post.
With Speedy unable to help, and still a weak bench, we are going to continue to struggle.
You would think Salim could spell Joe for a few minutes and create some offense that would balance this team more.

Oh well, Woody is the coach of course. Right now. he can't boast about being a playoff team. We haven't shown alot lateley.

Is it me or could we just be Charlotte with limited possiblities if we stand pat. At least they made one major trade for JRich last year. They appear to be our equal thus far. So while that trade didn't really improve their conference standing, the Hawks still need to shore up at least one of their weaknesses before the deadline.

Maybe ASG is aware that we aren't a title contending team.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
