mutumbo and yao together

Post#1 » by trifle3a » Sat Feb 16, 2008 7:49 pm

should we play them togther a little bit against shaq, amare, gasol, bynum
at least to protect yao from foul troubles. I also think this could make high pick n rolls less effective against us cause it make players have to drive in more it will make zone more effective thats cause we have three shot blockers in at once(battier) what do you guys think?

JVG sometimes tried this against Shaq, I remember.
We have met the enemy, and he is us.

Cause Gasol's a natural power forward.

The NBA is far too quick nowadays for a Yao-Mutombo frontcourt to be successful.

I could see it working in stretches if the matchup is right, but in today's NBA where quickness and finishing ability plays a huge part no way it could be effective for longer than a certain stretch.
