I like Watson a lot, he's one of my favorite personalities on SunSports, but that was Dwight's second year, not his rookie season. Yes, I know I'm being picky.

that little cheerleader was hott though, as i'm sure so is Dwight's baby momma. I think its crap that the NBA has declined in popularity in the U.S. and i'm going to say why: racism. no one wants to touch it except the sports guy. read this http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/080219

As one NBA higher-up whispered to me last weekend, "People still think we have an image problem, I just don't get it. Do they even watch us? Do they see the caliber of the guys we have now?"

That's the issue gnawing at everyone working for the league right now. The NFL has considerably more thugs, Major League Baseball has a steroids scandal that basically has tainted the past 15 years of games, yet somehow the NBA is still perceived as the league with an image problem? For god's sake, if the NBA can't put that tag to rest this year, of all years, then it's never happening, and we'll have to accept there are deeper issues at work here.

[/b](Well, one deeper issue. And you know what it is.)[/b]

I love my parents but my dad calls it "black ball" that all the guys do is dunk and its only for black athletes. It really sickens me sometimes honestly. ALL athletes, black or white, are freaks of nature, thats their job. And I keep telling my dad, 'you do know that the last 3 MVP's were white guys'. plus how many black athletes are in football or baseball? The truth is that we can see just how athletic basketball players are, see their faces and their motions. We see football players as gladiators, so its not that big of a deal. God forbid that white people and maybe more telling(as Malcom X or any black revolutionary would see it), white women, actually like a game that is dominated by dark toned people. when us as basketball fans know this is complete stupidity. There are more international and ASIAN players now more than ever. If anything this has become the worlds 2nd game behind soccer. I do love Dwight and I love the NBA, but i just can't believe that even after that awesome all-star game, people will still just look at it as "blackball". :noway: :nonono: :nonono:
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.
