Miami Herald: Interest in Tinsley?

Post#1 » by 90sB-BallRocked » Wed Feb 20, 2008 5:07 pm

Several point guards reportedly are available, including Philadelphia's Andre Miller, Memphis' Kyle Lowry, Indiana's Jamaal Tinsley and Portland's Jarrett Jack. Memphis swingman Mike Miller also is considered available, though Riley downplayed that possibility last week.

ESPN.com reported preliminary talks on a trade that would send Knicks center Eddy Curry to the Heat, Nets guard Vince Carter to the Knicks, and the Heat's Jason Williams and Ricky Davis to the Nets.

Not sure if from the article it means the Heart are interested or that Tinsley is available.

Doubt its anything, only way I could see it making since is Tinsley/Diogu for Williams. Doubt anything gets done.

Any kind of Tinsley deal, will be similar to the Golden State deal last year, where we trade away our problem (Jackson) but had to include good peices such as a expiring and a very good talent in Harrington. If Tinsley is dealt, we won't get much in return, and at the same time, trade away Harrison, Diogu, Rush or Williams.

I'm surprised there isn't more talk of Rush being dealt. He's played great for us and when he's hot, he's really good. I'm surprised no team wants to add him for their roster, he's cheap and expires after the season.

what is NY and NJ having a competition as to who can acquire the most overvalued 2 guards in the L. Even if eddie curry sucks balls you don't trade him for VC. How is VC any better than what NYK already have? He isn't. If these Eastern Conference Gm's keep this up BOS will be on top forever.

I doubt we move Tinsley, not even Miami would really want him and his contract.

I think some GM's can see the player he can be though. When he isn't injured and being overrun by a coach who is trying to dictate everything, he's not half-bad. The unfortunately part is the first is almost always the case.

I read that to mean that there are PGs available ( like Tinsley, Lowry, etc ) to pick from.....but nothing that says that the Heat would be interested in him specifically.
