Now that the trade deadline has passed we know the 15 man roster we will be working with for the remainder of the season.
A couple of things I'd like to see done regarding the rotation & active/inactive list.
Beno is the obvious starter at PG at this point but I think Reggie has it all wrong on who the back-up should be. If we are rebuilding or going with a youth movement Quincy Douby needs to be playing. In my opinion Anthony Johnson & Lorezen Wright should be the inactive players (along with Shareef due to injury).
I'd give Douby an opportunity to play decent minutes at PG and if he falters I'd play Lue whom I think would bring a nice spark off the bench because of his quickness, 3 point shooting & defense. Let me say this again more bluntly this time...ANTHONY JOHNSON SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING.
As strange as this may sound (Smills might have a heart attack), I feel Kenny Thomas should be on the active roster NOT LORENZEN WRIGHT. As bad as Thomas has been we're locked into him and he needs to be in a uniform because let's face it he's part of the team present and future unless bought out or miraculously traded this summer. Wright is old and shouldn't be in any present or future plans.
Someone needs to do something with John Salmons! Piss him off, embarass him, anything to light a fire under his ass to get him to start playing like he's capable. When Martin & Artest were out he and Miller were the teams best players. If he can't play off the bench, then keep him on it and give Garcia more minutes (which Theus has done on occasion).
The rotation I'd like to see based on meshing on the court and giving us best chance to win as of 02/21/2008:
PG Beno Udrih (his job until we draft a stud)
SG Kevin Martin (no brainer)
SF Ron Artest (no brainer)
PF Mikki Moore (can Shelden Williams push him for PT)
C Brad Miller (no brainer)
6th Francisco Garcia (perfect complimentary player/spreads floor)
7th Spencer Hawes (our future, he needs PT to become a real player)
8th Quincy Douby (shows flashes, will he be part of future plans)
9th Shelden Williams (we can only pray he turns into a #5 pick)
10th John Salmons (if he starts playing better he could be 6th)
11th Tyronn Lue (if Douby falters he cold move up)
12th Kenny Thomas (get him off Prozac & who knows)
13th Shareef Abdur-Rahim (can he come back to remotely what he was)
14th Lorenzen Wright (expire & bye-bye)
15th Anthony Johnson (expire & so long)

Other than playingThomas I agree, Thomas is a cancer and the further away from the team he can be the better. Look at his sad face everyday. I guarantee if he was jumping up celebrating with the team and showing that he cared about the orginization at all he would be getting burn. Theus doesnt like guys taht pout. Its not that Thomas is a horrible player he is a pretty good post defender and has quickness over most bigs he matches up against. Its all about his poor attitude.

Man, things are so screwed. Sure that should be our lineup if we are getting ready to challenge in the playoffs but seriously what's the point with the situation we are in!? Hey, I guess we can be still be real winners, get to .500, squash the youngsters and "luck" our way into the 14th pick right?
That last month better belong to committing ourselves to developing our youth, wasted to much time here, and conitnue wasting it.
