Where is the NBA trade committee now?

Post#1 » by Tommy Trojan » Fri Feb 22, 2008 5:45 am

The SuperSonics got just the expiring contracts of Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Griffin in a deal that raises questions after Seattle moved Kurt Thomas to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week.

The feeling among several league executives is new Seattle general manager Sam Presti, who got his current job after working for the Spurs under current Cavs general manager Danny Ferry, is paying off debts by trying to help the Spurs and Cavs.

No offense to Kurt Thomas, Wally Szerbiak and Delonte West, but none of them are really the kind of difference makers who can launch their perspective teams into the another level. Thomas is good, but at 6'9", he is gonna have a hell of a time trying to guard 7 footers in Andrew Bynum and Shaq.

Who's that man dunking ? I don't know him ! I know Kobe Bryant who listens to his coach and does whatever Phil is asking ! Ain't it so ?!

Remember, Kobe during that time was "uncoachable" ! Now he's very "coachable" because he understands that behaving like he did that year will not give him much chances to compete at a high level !

He's got it !
Kobe's changed a lot since 2004.

Hey Pop you sly

Good post mang and I agree , but G.P is a piss of dog do do , so is D.Antoni .
They both remind me of this girl I use to go out with .....You Know .

I mean its not like G.P and the Spurs didnt Tank every game to get the first round pick and that was Duncan .
But to have the Kahonnes to talk smack on the the Lakers on Pau trade and then have their X G.M basically give K.T for garbage .

There's that double-standard theory (w/Kobe/Lakers) coming to life again. People hate the Lakers getting the advantage in anything... but, when something similar happens...

McHale is starting to look like a GM that's loyal to his employer.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
