For a 2nd rounder, Kirk Snyder, & cash...
I would have loved to see him on the court with Kidd.
Oh well, Avery probably wouldn't give him any PT either.
Too bad Mavs couldn't swing a deal for Gerald Green...

Gerald Green is one of the worst players in the NBA. I don't know when will people realize that you need some semblance of basketball IQ and actual skill to go along with supreme athleticism. If your coach can't play you on a lottery team's awfully thin swingman rotation, then that speaks volumes of how terrible you are.

That's why I'd like to see him on the court with Kidd. Let Kidd use his basketball IQ to put Green in situations where he just has to use his supreme athletic ability to get the ball and throw it down.

Kidd has worked wonders on less talented guys, that's for sure. Scalabrine, Kenyon, Jefferson, Lucious Harris, MIkkie Moore and others owe Jason 1/2 of their salary!
But I think the knock on Green is unfair. For one, he is more than say a James White clone; he has decent handles and (what separates him from 99% of other high-flyers) a sweet stroke. MIN didn't have a role for him, especially with the time and energy invested in McCants.
I think he'll end a quality player in the league.

Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.
