good read, remember Dampiers last year with GSW he proclaimed to be the second best center after shaq(who was in his prime) that guy is just egotistical and the way he played on sunday was thuggish at the least
he did have a statistically good game but that guy really got under my skin everytime he committed a foul and played on. Kobe is the man in how he took all those hits and managed to hear M-V-P roaring from the crowd and give us the hard fought win. i dont know if you guys saw after that running hook with his right hand and the mavs called a timeout the camera followed him to the bench and you see his team nodding his head telling his teammates that "WE ARENT LOSING TODAY"...if thats what so called "enforcer" call "wuss!?"' they got another thing coming.

Yeah man those guys are straight busters thats why they lost, its a damn shame other teams get to constantly hack tha sh**t out of us and the refs act like its so hard to see when we get fouled and be just like 5 feet away from us, but they can mysteriuosly see a foul committed by us 60 feet away on the other end of the floor? and how many times have they change a call against us after ruling in our favor?! Thats why we need to smash on everybody we play NO MERCY!!!!!!!!

whoa there...lamar is NOT soft.
the guy may actually be our toughest player, when you consider how often he has been willing to play through injuries.
a finesse style of play is not equivalent to soft.
as for my take on the hard fouls, i seem to remember pryzbilla of the blazers committing at least 4 fouls on kobe, maybe more. dampier committed most, if not all, of his fouls on kobe. i really think teams are trying to hit him hard, and hit him often. they are playing old school ball. but memo to the rest of the league:
kobe is an old school ball player!

i wouldnt say sasha is soft, there was a thread post that stated all the players he's gotten under their skin, its a pretty impressive list because they are one of the tops (carmelo, lebron, wade, etc.) in the league. choke, slap, punch, etc. he gets right back up and shoots the long ball w/o any hesitation. not an enforcer type but a person you would hate to go against but would love to have on your team because he bugs the hell out of the opposing teams stars
lamar is a beast come playoff time, its a proven fact he steps up his game year in year out. unfortunately, the team hasnt advance past the first round as of late but if kobe isnt the man of the game lamar is. now this year come playoff games i wouldnt be surprised if kobe isnt the man, lamar might get player of the game recognition even in the crowd of bynum and gasol because lamar does all the dirty work filling the stats sheet. with lamar's new found role he can easily be a triple double guy:pts, rebs, ast.

I think Coby Karl will be Phil's secret surprise in the playoffs. The guy can play and he plays hard on both ends. It'll take any playoffs opponent a game or two of steady minutes to scout him and by that time it might already be too late.
I have very high hopes for how good he will be in the future. I have a feeling that he will be Phil's Jack in the Box/ace in the sleeve/element of surprise. Just another tool to help Phil being the aggressor.

+1 In the 80's our team was considered a finesse team, and we did alright! When we get healthy we will have the perfect balance of fierceness and finesse, and it's nice when your top player is your toughest.
