Hill Says Phoenix Will Be His Last Stop
Grant Hill has always been one of my favorite players. He just knows how to play the game. He has an opt out clause and says he wants Phoenix to be his last stop. However he went to Phoenix to win a championship and with the Shaq-Marion trade it looks like that is even less of a possibility now. Do you see the Lakers making a push for him in free agency and trying to get him to come to Laker Land for the championship he has not won?

I would be very happy if he comes here. He is such a professional and despite his age, he still averages 14-5-3.
But I don't think we need another SF. When Bynum comes back, Lamar will play SF, and so do Vlad, Luke, Ariza. We won't get him, unless we trade one or two SF away

I was thinking maybe Luke or Vlad could be traded for some cap space. Most likely Luke because he seems to give more trade options than Vlad.

I say trade Luke and Odom if we really want to get Hill. Vlad's 3 point shooting can spread the floor, meanwhile neither Lamar, Luke, Ariza or Hill can make 3 consistently.
Odom's contract will expire at the same time as Bynum's. If Bynum wants max, Odom needs to go unless he wants much less. May be we can trade him for some useful role players? However, his rebounding, defense and versatility will be hard to replaced.
Therefore, why do we need to give away so much for a 36 years old SF? I would prefer just keep the roster the way it is now and hope Lamar signs a smaller contract.

hill is really good and playing at a high level from what he's been through i give him all the credit in the world. surgery after surgery and age factor in alot for athletes, yet he's still ballin. on that note, i wouldnt trade young for old, we have all the vetern leadership we need. i havent heard any grief from the young guns so 'all good in the hood'
someone mentioned lamar's contract is up at the same time as bynum, i think before that becomes a factor next summer one of their contracts would be restructed, via sign and trade or taking less money
obviously im talking about lamar.
i believe bynum would get a max, i just wish he would live up to it too. as you know most players who are in their last year of the contract step up to a whole new level to their game and try to get the best deal possible at the end of the season. There are certain players who pretty much quit afterwards and dont have that consistent level of play after getting their big deals
not being a homer or anything but i think BYNUM will live up to it, im just being a realist in that theres always a chance

Have any of you noticed how Hill became the defensive stopper on the Suns once Marion left. Not Raja Bell who most consider a very good defender but Hill. He was the one covering Parker not Nash or Bell. DJ will be more than fine as a back up center. We need better Defenders. The starting 5 when Bynum is healthy will be great on D but there is still questions about the bench D. Farmar, Turiaf, DJ, Ariza, and Sasha, play D either average or good. Vlad, Mihm, and Luke are suspect.
Farmar
Ariza
Hill
Turiaf
DJ
Still great bench for scoring but now an even better bench on the D end. Plus contract moves are going to have to be made because with the contracts we got now We aren't going to be able to keep Luke and Vlad's contracts. Larmar won't go anywhere. He would be to hard to replace.
