Tinsley: I Should Have Sat Earlier
The Indianapolis Star -
Jamaal Tinsley thinks he should have rested earlier this season, which may have allowed him to recover faster, according to the Indianapolis Star.
He originally injured the knee on Dec. 15 against Miami, but he continued to play.
"I think about why I didn't shut it down a lot," he said on Wednesday. "But being a player, you always want to fight through things and sometimes the best thing to do is sit down, especially after the year I was having."

How many other areas did J Kidd crush Tinsley at? I give Jamal a push at best in comparison of shot selection.
15/8/6/2
You complain that I am only looking at box scores, then throw up that number?
For guards in the East, J Kidd, Wade, Allen, Billups, Hamilton, and Johnson got in. Do you honestly think we could not have been significantly better with any of these players instead of Jamal? I say it would have made us atleast a five game better team, thus Jamal was no where near All-Star level in good health.

Come on Charcoal Filtered, Jamal is A great offensive talent, though he needs to raise that field goal percentage.
Jamal Doesn't have the shooting range, but He can impact a game in multiple fashions, whether it's in passing or defense.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

While I think All-Star level is a reach, I think JT was playing close to his best ball of his career earlier this season. I do think he had a tendency to shoot too much, and am baffled by that Phoenix debacle, but he was around 14pts, 9 asts, 4 rebs, and 2 stls at one point (may be a bit high on the rebs).
I am on record as not being a fan of Droopy, but his absence, despite the pleasant surprise of Travis Diener, has hurt us. In fact, the very reason I would like to move on from Tinsley is because as long as he's here, he'll be in a position to hurt the team. He has the talent to be a very good starting point guard, and he's shown that at times. However, I think he certainly doesn't have the health, and I often question the head for the job.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

"Especially after the year I was having?"
Is implying that he was having a great season? You've got to be kidding me. He was playing OK ball, but was by no means having some great season.
And how many games was he playing OK ball for? A stretch of 20-30 games? He's got to realize that playing great ball means being consistent. What's going to define his career is consistency, not flashes of brilliance.

It WAS a great season by Jamaal standards, and we liked him whenever we won games, and we hated him whenever we lost 'em. He was finding the open man and getting steals, which is what we want, but any point guard on a team with underdeveloped offensive weapons is going to heave more shots than they're supposed to.

Since when does Wade, Allen, Hamilton, and Johnson play PG? Would you like to throw in Howard and maybe LeBron in there as well?
Since Tinsley has gone out our team has fallen apart. We were still doing okay with JO out, but once Tinsley got hurt are team started to plummet.
