No, I dont think that either of the Simons came out and said that last year. Bird did, IRC. I hope so, and it will be interesting to see to what extent they are willing to get rid of some of these players. Are we willing to take back bad contracts... Are we willing to "spend the money" to cut them or buy them out??

Ike seems like a good guy, I have no problem with him sticking around, but if he's not in the teams future plans, you might as well try and move him for something, maybe packaged with our 2nd rounder to move into the 20's?

Shawne Williams, I'm torn on. He has too much talent to just give up on. I'm still wondering how much involvement he had in the incident involving the murderer. If he knew nothing about the murder warrant, I can't see how you can hold it against him.

Yeah, he expires next season, but he has to go. If you are truly committed to "changing the atmosphere," He has to go as well. As part of a package or to a team at the deadline wanting to dump some salary. I personally would hold on to him until the deadline, when I really try to move him.

100% agree. If he is part of your plans, then freaking play the guy. If not, move him. It is at the point in his career, that he will be labeled, if not already, as a "bust". Move him while you still can if you dont want him, or get nothing for him.

Williams I move only if I can get back an equal talent. Other wise, I keep him on a short leash.

i have a newflash for everyone... **** is going down! i'm not suprised by th is. i have been expecting this for a long time. why do you think our roster is full of people who don't really deserve to be in the league.

it's going to be a firesale this offseason.

O'Neal, Harrison, Daniels and Tinsley are all gone. Bird and Walsh may be gone as well.

I hope we can get an expiring deal for O'Neal and a 1st round pick. How about we send him back to Portland for Lafrentz?

Harrison has been having these kind of melt downs since I was going to school with at Univ Of Colorado. He once lost it and started crying at a game because as he said "couldn't handle the pressure of having the basketball program on his shoulders" it's a shame. I wish he was more like his older brother DJ.

Daniels is injury prone and gets into trouble. I wonder if that is why Dallas was eager to part with him so cheaply.

Tinsley will be gone. Having a good season but can't stay healthy or out of trouble. I say trade him to the Nuggets. They could use him in their up-tempo style.

Portland really doesn't need nor want JO. They will have Aldridge and Oden next year.

I'm fine with keeping JO. I know he will be at All-Star level next year. Him with the player Granger has become(not to mention he will get better in the off season) and we have a very nice 1-2 punch, we just need to build around that with our draft pick, hopefully 2 draft picks, and a small trade to tweak are roster.

We really aren't as bad as I think some people think we are.

I am not convinced at all JO will ever play at an All Star level again. I think his body is wearing down. If we could move him and get cap relief I would be satisfied. That is a sad commentary about a once very good player, but it is what it is.

Tinsley just needs to go, he makes me sick.

If anyone is willing to give up much for Marquis or we need him involved to make a deal he is gone.

Get rid of Ike for his sake. He can be productive, but O'Brien doesn't want to play him.

JO's trade value is very low in my opinion.

He's been hurt big time 3 out of the previous 4 seasons. The one season out of the four where he managed to earn his paycheck on the court he had a horrible season. He's strictly a jumpshooting big man. He will be 30 years old starting next season all that for the incredible price of $22 million for the next two seasons.

He might make sense in Washington, but even with JO's stock so low they have nothing to offer next season.

Denver would happily trade KMart or Nene or both and a first for him. Of course Indy wouldn't want those two injured players and their monster contracts.

Would you guys take Shaq for him? If Phoenix doesn't make the post-season or loses in the first round I'm sure they would gladly trade Shaq for him.

What a disappointment JO has been.

I'll say it again. JO's hunger is gone, therefore his conditioning is probably not where it should be for a 29 year old that should be in his prime.

If and when JO is traded, he'll work hard and re-establish himself, much like Pau did with the Lakers this year.

I think the big changes will have a much broader effect on our organization than just the roster. Walsh will be gone.

Next if we have a chance to rid ourselves of O'neal, Tins, Daniels, and after Harrison is gone, our team will be lead by Dunleavy and Granger. This would definitely be a welcoming change.

I was one of the people who said stick with JO last summer. Looks like I was wrong, his value is lower now than ever. Could we have gotten Bynum and Brown and 2 picks from the Lakers? Who knows, it is not worth the speculation the question is now, "Who would want him?" Or Jamaal?

I know this is not the trade thread, but looking at the possible trading partners I don't see much. Maybe NJ? Who else?

The Pacers should have sat JO last Janurary and got his knee fixed maybe he'd be able to play now, again who knows. JO is gonna have to show us and any other team that he has something left, no team is gonna want him if he can't play. And then the sad case of Jamaal, he was having a great season until his body gave out.

This season has been rough I've been out of the loop and just getting myself back up to speed, when I see all the moves made and we did nothing it's tough to take. Gasol, Wallace, Bibby and Kidd were all dealt and some good young players moved around. In the defense of TPTB it is pretty hard to trade guys that are injured.

This season has shown us a breakout yr for Granger and Dunleavy, Diener and Rush have been nice pickups, but the questions remain, JO and JT can't stay healthy, Daniels and Shawne can't seem to stay out of trouble. Changes must be made, I know that even if I was a billionaire like the Simons are, I'd resent paying some $70 million to this group of players.

Hopefully we can clean house and have that fire sale, get some draft picks, clear some cap space, get a youngster or 2 and keep Danny and Mike.

Before we traded Ron, I suggested trading JO because it was clear the two couldn't coexist; leading me to believe it was one or the other. Recollect the value JO had back then.

Besides if you read between the lines of a comment made by JO earlier this season, he basicaly said we are asking too much for him. Since when did it become the players business in regards to his counter-package, unless he was in on the other sides negotiaitions. JO timed it when he came out about missing an extended portion of the season, right before the trade deadline.

I don't know if he did it on purpose or if he just doesn't know when to shut up. But if JO loves Thomas that much I bet we can deal him to the Knicks in the off season.
