Whatever Happened To SA Being A TV Ratings Killer?
Everyone calls this team boring and says that its bad for them to make the Finals because no one wants to see them but then we show them on TV non stop? There on ABC right now and ABC just showed there sked for the next like 4 Sundays and SA is playing in every single game. There also on ESPN & TNT all the time. How does this make sense? Are they ratings killers or not? I would have to think that the people must like watching them alot more then they say or else they wouldnt have them on all the time

I've actually stared to appreciate the way they play
True, a San Antonio game is always exciting when they're playing another elite team. The last 4 games of the 2005 finals are still 4 of the best games I've ever watched live.

The Spurs aren't as boring to the average TV viewer as they were. Now they have crossover star power with Tony Parker thanks to his wife, and Manu is fun to watch. They aren't as focused around Duncan. And the Spurs will always be on TV in games like Suns vs. Spurs or Lakers vs. Spurs because these teams (Lakers, Suns, Mavs ect) all seek validation, and the only way to do that is beat the only West conference team to win a championship in the last 5 years.

It's not really a bad question, honestly the Spurs only problem ratings wise is
1: Play teams they completely over match (Cavs, Nets)
2: When they play other defensive teams (Pistons, Jazz (last year))
Against the Lakers, Suns, or Mavs they are some of the highest rated games in the league. If they play the Celtics in the finals they won't have any problems either.
