Stevenson. He trash talked against LeBron and backed it up with solid defense down the stretch.

For me it's a tough call between Haywood and DeShawn.

DeShawn not only defended Le Nailbiter well, but he got in his head... key to beating the Cavs.

I ultimately have to give it to the big Wood, however. He was very good on the offensive end, particularly when no one else was scoring for us in the 2nd... and his hard foul on Le Charge was priceless.
In Rizzo we trust

Ok... according to +-, it was Darius Songaila who was +15 for the game. Dude shot 7/8 scored almost a point a minute.

N1 had the second highest +-... basically the bench won the game for us. And why is that? Because we actually have a bench now because of Caron!

So Songaila for his genuine contribution to the win, and CB second because he's the real reason.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

Locksmith D$2 forcing LeTravel into 7 turnovers and making the refs call an honest game.

Agreed. And he wasn't too shabby on offense, either.

Seven players in double figures. Honorable mention to the coaching staff for designing a game plan at both ends (despite one lapse by Tawn at the end on the slipped pick). If we made our late-game FT's this one isn't even close.

That crowd though... started out despicable, ended up passable. Can we please start to cheer for our damn team. Stop bitching and support the squad. Who doesn't think this team could shxt-stomp LeQueen's crew if we saw them in the first round with all our guys healthy. I bet this is the team our squad would most like to see, refs or no, we've got a yard or two of revenge tickets we got to cash in on.

Go wiz.

Songolia still gets no love :wavefinger:

Damn one of the most consistent efforts I've seen out of him, he played within himself and had one of his best games for us. I give it to him

Stevenson was the man tonight. Credit also for the coaching staff and their gameplan to contain LeBron. He rarely got into the lane and was forced into taking jumpers all night long.

1. Stevenson for the excellent defense and the trash talking.

2. Haywood - good all around game and loved the hard fouls the last five minutes of the game. No wonder the Queen kept missing layups.

3. Butler - great first half lift for the team from the b-day boy. You could tell we had more confidence with our tough juice back in the mix.

Honorable mention - Songaila. Excellent job moving without the basketball and his teammates kept finding him.

I voted for Caron. There is no doubt, that he gave us major confidence last night. Swagger!
Just let the young boys play! It's truly the only hope at this point.

Darius had 3 or 4 key layups in the third and fourth quarter that enabled the Wizards to gain the lead they barely managed to keep when he came out in the fourth.

This game, Darius was better down the stretch than Jamison or Butler.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
