Is it just me, or would he be a great player for us? He would be a great PF for us. Yeah he may look like a SF, but he can play as a PF, guards the post players, among the top in the NBA in defensive categories and blocks. A sign and trade with Atlanta might be a good idea?

So by doing this transaction we are trying or attempting to turn ourselves to the Hawks by collecting as many Small Fowards as we can.

Oooh, don't let Atlanta fans hear you say Smith is a small forward; they'll insist he's a 4. Horford is the 5, Marvin is the 3, Childress is the swingman. They get all huffy about it, too.

Would I love to have a three-man forward rotation of Durant playing 32 minutes at the 3, Smith playing 32 minutes at the 4, and Green playing 16 minutes at each of the 3 and the 4? Yes, yes I would.

There is absolutely no way we get Josh Smith away from the Hawks, short of about 15 1st rounders.
