OT Chris Paul
Since no-one is putting up any decent threads, I thought I would put a discussion topic of Chris Paul so we can get to talking about Hoops again.
This guy's play has been unbelievable of late. Whic leads me to my question's. Any of you guy's think he is MVP? Can NOH go deep? Is it possible to win the MVP & MIP (most improved player) In the same year.
Thoughts?
Even tho the nets are my number 1,2,3 and 4th team I'm startin to find a soft spot for the Hornets.
I will watch JKIDD in Dallas......have stated before I don't think he has put them over the hump....but NOH small market town (like us) I like goin for the underdog.....I mean team support not overall talent.
Yeah yeah I know its a net forum but we are idle at the moment and we seemed to have tired our selves out with all these Frank bashing, Tanking and trade threads..... besides it's too early for draft talk and who knows wich net team will show up these last dozen or so games.

Chris Paul = Best PG in the league right now...
The guys a stud. Even at 6'0 he can get to the hoop at will and score with pretty damn good FG%. The thing I love most about paul is how he rarely turns the ball over even while dishing out 13-18 dimes every other day.
EASILY top 5 talent in the league...

I think Paul is the best PG in the league, and is also one of the most fiercest competitors and a true leader. The Atlanta Hawks are easily one of the dumbest franchises in the league for passing him up.

hes the mvp for my fantasy team in my money league.. thats good enough for me.. and it is amazing how little he turns the ball over w/the way he dominates the ball ... also i read that the reason milwaukee drafted bogut over paul was becuase they already had tj ford, then they traded him to toronto for charlie v a short while later

Haven't really gotten to see him at his best. Unfortunately the only recent time I've seen him was last weekend on national TV against the Pistons, and Paul didn't play too well, he was playing hurt and a game time decision.
I can't say if he's better than Nash. Nash is still a superstar game changer.
Does goes to show what a huge difference an elite PG, with the right players and coach will make.
My PG rankings:
1) Nash
2) Paul
3) DWilliams
4) BDavis
5) Kidd

nah, Paul is better than Nash, Nash has shaq, g hill, amare=best pf in the game, barbosa, and Raja Bell
Paul aside from West, no scoring threat, Chandler more defense, Peja, always hurt, plus they have better record

You don't honestly believe that do you??

Stoudemire is one of the worst defenders at the PF position in the LEAGUE. Great offensively but aside from blocking a shot i've seen the dude get torched on D

Paul is damn good.
He can play the running game but he's also effective in the halfcourt game. I haven't watched him enough to know if his defense is any good or if he's good at the little things (setting picks, leadership).
He's a babyface but dude has a lil' bit of a temper so I don't know how that will play out overtime.
On a Hornets sidenote, despite being an All-Star I think David West is one of the most underrated guys in the league right now.
