You're all invited to "wiff my madness" NCAA Brack

Post#1 » by wiff » Tue Mar 18, 2008 4:01 am

So I created a public March Madness tournament over at www.espn.com

The group name is "wiff my madness"

This should be the link to the sign in.

http://games.espn.go.com/tcmen/frontpage

Our Motto is "Save our Sonics" (not sure if that is needed or not).

But everyone is invited so come join the madness.

I'm in.

BTW: Gonzaga had a pretty rough seeding, facing the hottest team in the NCAA right now in Davidson in round one and, if we do beat them, most likely going up against Roy Hibbert and Georgetown in round 2.

Still, Go Zags Go!!!

I signed up but I'm having computer problems so I haven't been able to enter my picks yet.

Anyway, my picks are insanely boring this year. There were a lot of teams I had my eye on and wanted to pick, but just couldn't pull the trigger when I saw the matchups. If this turns out to be a tournament with few surprises, I'll do well.

UPDATE: I got my picks in and put in a few upsets just to spice it up. But I don't really stand behind them. Do I really think Davidson will beat Georgetown, or West Virginia will beat Duke, or Temple, St. Mary's and Villanova will all win their first round games? No, not really. So if my picks turn out well, it will be luck. I just wanted to give myself something to root for.

Any last minute additions? It's not too late.

I thought for sure the

Dick Tankers would have a bracket.

Anyone, anyone?

Haha, I need Xavier to win, they're in the elite 8! I did have Temple over MSU though. :(

Ditto on both counts. Looks like this pool is going to be a close one if we all made the same picks...

Wow, I haven't seen this much carnage at Kent State since 1970.

Fortunately, no, I picked UNLV.

Not that it matters much. I picked UNLV to lose in the second round (as did just about everybody, I'm sure). First-round games are interesting but they usually aren't worth too many points in the pool, unless of course a team that you picked for the Final Four or Elite Eight gets knocked out.

It happened to me the other day, it said I didn't have a final four like 3 times. Did you print it out?
