One of my all-time favorite basketball cards as a kid was a Shaq Topps Insert of him throwing it down at the Garden with the view being right above the hoop and all you see is that light green paint color all around him and a couple Celtics players surrounding him looking up in awe.

Are we talking about The Montreal Forum? Nobody thinks if The Great Western Forum as a historical sports arena as they do Boston Garden, MSG, Maple Leafs Gardens, Montreal Forum. We're talking about sports fans, not localized basketball fans who are youngsters (like majority of this forums and all other forums happen to be.)

people still talk about the garden.
It has so many myths that surround it: "the dead spots" where balls would bounce in a unpredictable direction (or not not bounce at all). Or about how Auerbach would shutoff the hot water in the visiting locker room.
It was the Yankee stadium of Basketball. the Garden: where Winning Happens.

The Garden is definitely more memorable to me, just for the floor alone.
Frankly the Forum wasn't anyting special as an arena. Except for the teams that played there, of course...
