Hinrich on the block?

That's what the wiretap says. I assume Chicago would like to get inside scoring in exchange for him?

What about: Villanueva (inside scoring), Bell (replace some of the pg duties), and Mason (expiring deal) for Hinrich?

I don't think Chicago does that, even though I agree Hinrich is likely available given his down season and their excess of guards. I don't really consider CV inside scoring, he's a turn and face and perimeter guy, very little back to the basket/post offense.

I would rather keep Mason over Simmons, and I'm sure they would want our pick in order to get him.. so I'm not sure I would do it.

If we can get our hands on Derrick Rose, it's not even a consideration.. if we can't (which I don't believe we will unless we luck out and get the 1st or 2nd pick) then I would look at a trade but Mo probably would have to somehow be involved for me.. if that means a 3 team trade then fine, as long as Mo, Simmons, CV, and potentially Gadzuric are the principle pieces without our pick being involved.

initially i was like yea I would do it but , I don't think Hinrich is much of an improvement over Mo...if anything he is worse then Mo.

You lose scoring efficiency and gain defense. In a hypothetical trade of Mo and Hinrich (which I assume won't happen), I think I'd take Kirk. I think both guys need a change of scenery if nothing else.

Hinrich guards SGs a lot (because of Gordon's tiny-ness), so I'm not sure how good he is at guarding PGs. I assume he's a hell of a lot better than Mo, though.

I doubt chicago does that first trade, but if they would, then I'd follow that up by sending mo to miami for haslem.

To finish things off I'd try to sign childress to a longterm midlevel deal or hopefully draft someone with athleticism with the lotto pick.

Hinrich/Sessions
Redd/Ivey
Childress or Draft pick/Simmons
Yi/Haslem
Bogut/Haslem

I think larry brown could coach that roster to a 5th seed or so in the eastern conference next year.

Hinrich is having a down year just like everyone else on the Bulls. I think it's just become a poisoned situation. Hinrich averaged 16.6 points, 6.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals on 45% shooting. I like his game a lot. He's a smart defensive minded guy that I'd love to get in here.

I've watched alot of Heinrich and he is god-awful this year...

He is a primary reason the Bulls are only 2 games ahead of us...

His shot is not falling....He is lost out there...

Don't be throwing around past stats...He isn't the same player anymore...

That's the big question imo. If Hinrich could come in and provide excellent defense at the point of attack it would more than make up for the drop off in scoring efficiency.

He's not the same player because his shot isn't falling? Change of scenery can do wonders for guys.

I also love how you blame Hinrich on the Bulls being bad this year while completely ignoring Ben Gordon's awful play. Deng isn't playing nearly as well as he was last year. There was a lot of turmoil in that locker room with Skiles. Hinrich isn't the only problem, there are a lot of factors that go into it.

In Hinrich's past three seasons, his defensive pers have been:
2007-2008: 16.8
2006-2007: 13.8
2005-2006: 13.9

Hinrich was 2nd team all defense last year...
I'd love to get him on the bucks.
This offseason seems like the perfect time to make a play for him.

Yep Bucksjam you are right.

Hinrich just magically sucks this year and so does Luol Deng and Ben Gordon and it has nothing to do with that team combusting.

I wish you were the GM for the Bulls so we could trade for Hinrich for pennies on the dollar.

I don't know how anyone can believe he's suddenly gone from one of the better young PGs in the league (over the course of three or four seasons) to suddenly being a bad player. He just turned 27, doesn't have injury problems, and isn't a headcase, so he should have plenty of good ball left in him.

Either way if they're really trying to pare down their backcourt then we don't seem like logical trading partners anyway. I doubt they have a hard time finding someone to take on his salary.
