Dime's Best & Worst

Post#1 » by impulsenine » Tue Apr 1, 2008 7:11 pm

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime ... ime-080401

MONDAY'S BEST
Amare Stoudemire, Suns forward: Goes for 41 points and 14 rebounds as the Suns turn the home fans' boos to cheers after turning a 22-point deficit into a 132-117 win over the Nuggets.

MONDAY'S WORST
Shaq leads the Suns' fast break: Shaq's got that Suns spirit! He actually pushed it up court against the Nuggets. Despite dribbling as if he were sporting ski mittens, he actually got into the lane. However, he dished his finishing pass to a Nugget. Good night otherwise for Phoenix and its big man.

I'm really getting tired of the fans Booing the Suns when they are down. How about cheering and showing support. Been like that in the Valley since I was a kid, fair weather fans are bad out here. it is getting sickening..maybe D'Antoni should call US out again.

I thought that was the nicest "worst" I've ever seen on the Dime.

And let's face it -- that was friggin' HILARIOUS. Plus, knowing that he can get down the court and handle the ball like that is wonderful.

Just... next time throw it to someone on the same team, mmkay Shaq?

I rather the fans boo us when we are getting destroyed and embarrased like that. It shows the team that the fans care and it also shows the players that they arent just letting themselves down but their fans too.

If they cheered it would make the atmosphere too laid back as if .. "yaa go suns its alright if you're down 20"

even tho shaqs break was a turnover, it was almost a positive thing because it loosened everyone up

i hate the crowd booing, when your team is down you cheer louder and these freakin fans in the lower bowl have no right to boo, they dont cheer when we are winning so STFU when we are losing!

worst lower bowl fans in the NBA

They're not THAT bad.

TV noise is very weak compared to actually being there noise.

There is times when I will comeback from a game, then watch the replay and remember "Wow, the crowd volume must be real low because at the game it was pretty loud"

Our crowd is very impressive in big games, and vs. the mediocre teams? They're alright, not very easy to get all excited for a Suns/Grizzlies match up.

Golden State is one of a kind. No one else is even on their level.

Yea, Shaq trade has got them louder.

Too bad Shaq didn't go all the way to the hole with that steal. I would have liked to see someone take a charge from him at full speed.

That's cause half the bay area is cracked out on a regular basis. They have no concept of loud, just

"why are my ears bleeding? wtf? nevermind, GO WARRIORS!"
