Przybilla should be taken out of this deal. The Blazers don't want to move him and the Bulls have no need for him.

I love the idea of getting both Hinrich and Nocioni, but I don't think this is the best way for the Blazers to do it. Plus, it absolutely kills their PG depth by losing Blake and Jack. Sergio (much to the dismay of many Blazer fans) simply isn't ready for full time backup duties.

Also, James Jones has said he's going to opt out, so he'd have to be a S&T this summer.

Would you rather give Raef's expiring and not get Gray, than give Pryzbilla? Otherwise, there aren't alot of options for taking on the salaries of Hinrich and Nocioni.

If you want to insert Raef, I don't think CHI would have a problem with that at all.

As for the PG issue, what have I been hearing for the past month? That POR would like to pursue at least one guard in this year's draft. Am I mistaken here? I think with, what, 5 picks, the Blazers can cover their PG depth issues.

From a Chicago perspective, take out Gray and Przy. No issue there.

Overall, pretty good for Chicago.

However, Milwaukee seems to get completely screwed. They may be happier if they just cut Portland out.

Agreed that Przybilla should be taken out from Portland's perspective. I definitely agree with coldfish that Milwaukee gets screwed though. Milwaukee should probably get something more from Chicago.

Milwaukee declines. It's basically Redd for Hughes. We have no need for Frye with Yi and Villanueva, Jack is a bench player, Jones is decent but doesn't hold any value to a rebuilding team. He's just a small expiring contract which isn't going to give us any cap space.

We don't get any picks and we don't get rid of any bad contracts. If we're taking on Hughes we're going to need Chicago's pick.

That work a lot better for Portland. Gray isn't important to the Blazer.

Portland needs an upgrade at PG, but they also need to keep a little bit of their depth. This deal really depletes their depth at that spot.

That said, I should point out that I didn't realize the Blazers kept their pick in your deal. So that would definitely make things a little easier for Portland's POV.

However, I don't particularly agree with Portland targeting a PG in this years draft. I'm certainly not against it, but I'd like to see them get some veterans at that spot. I think a PG rotation of Hinrich and Blake would be great for Portland.

I disagree.

The Bulls give up a starter (Kirk), a guy who would start on most teams (Noc), a stupid chucker with 2 years left on a big contract (guess), and a cheap backup center (Gray) for a better but much more expensive backup center (Przybilla) , a decent backup PG (Blake), and a scorer who plays no defense (Redd).

There are certainly aspects about this that the Bulls like, but it is not a deal that Pax should make.

Take Portland out of the deal.

Hughes + Noc for Redd + crappy contract filler like Gadz or Simmons).

You are absolutely right. Similar to most Redd-for-Hughes proposals, I meant to add CHI's 1st to the deal. I will edit the OP. Thanks for pointing it out.
