I have a different angle... the Bucks were so bad this year that I say my league pass was the best $180 I ever spent... because the western conference playoff race has been phenominal... and there have been so many subplots that I don't even know where to start:

reasons i am glad i bought leaguepass

- getting to watch the blazers mid season surge
- getting to watch random warriors games instead of leno
- the kobe+gasol lakers
- amare after the Shaq trade
- the hornets tearing up the league

I seriously could go on and on. It has been an awesome year for league pass.

I guess there are cheaper ways to follow the league for tech savvy guys... but I would rather watch games on my plasma screen than a laptop any day.

Not a problem.

I use a media server that I can then use my Play Station or my Xbox to stream movies and video content from my PC. Anything from an AVI to YouTube on the Internet.

You need to edit your post and delete everything after what I quoted, or you risk getting suspended/banned when the mods see this thread. It is RealGM policy this year to crack down hard on this. I don't personally have anything against what you mentioned, I just don't want you to get in trouble on here.

Too bad LP's 100% non-HD feeds still look like junk no matter how good the TV.

Btw, does anyone get any LP games in HD? I thought "some" were going to be shown in HD this year, but as of now I only get some NBAtv games in HD. I thought I heard a couple channels were going to be set aside for LP in HD programming, but Comcast in Boston sure hasn't done that.

DirecTV gets LP games in HD...Every single LP channel will have the HD option if that game is made available in HD.

yeah I usually get one game a night in HD with LP through dishnetwork. Sometimes you don't get a hd game when tnt or espn is broadcasting games that evening which are always in hd.

I don't want to get banned, but I still had to pay for the service, but it was only $50 compared to the $179 for league pass.

This makes me want to go destroy Comcast :)

How many games/night is that usually?

I'm not really sure how many a night it is on average, but I've noticed usually like 3-4 when I've surfed through it??? It's definitely more than any of the cable companies in the country are able to offer and for whatever reason I noticed that DirecTV had a few more than Dish at times too??? I had both companies for about 2 months because Dish didn't want me to leave and gave me 2 months over a rude c.s. rep... It got repetitive though because besides the VOOM channels they pretty much had the same channels in HD at that time.

According to which country's laws? Not the United States.

How did that website obtain the right to sell all those networks broadcasts so easily when Apple has had so much trouble getting them on the iTunes store? They must have a much better negotiating team.

I'll be interested to hear how many live NBA games you get to watch and from what country they're originally broadcast.

This Satellite TV for PC deal is not a total scam but a quick search on google does reveal that it's not entirely honest with its claims. Apparently, it simply runs software that picks up all the legit cable, satellite and free-to-air websites and enables you to watch whatever they might be streaming. You could obviously do that without any special equipment or software right now.

The only way you could get the NBA legally is if some foreign TV channel's website was streaming a game. We'd all have heard about that if it were available. So, I can only assume that your "satellite" might find the illegal broadcasts available via sopcast, P2P or those Chinese NBALP feeds.

The Satellite TV for PC product is not in itself illegal, just like P@P or sopcast software, but I've no doubt some of the content, especially live NBA games, would be.
