If we land the #3 pick, who does Hammond take?

We all know who the top 2 guys in the draft are, well lets say we sneak into the top 3. Who do you draft, or do you look to move the pick?

I said the same, the only other guy I'd even consider is Bayless, who I think will be an absolutely great offensive player in the pros, I just think Mayo does more things overall.

Measurements are going to be interesting to see. I was listening to PTI yesterday. They said that an NBA writer for the USAToday and SI.com, David Dupree, recently said he'd take Kevin Love #1 overall because of everything he offers at the position.

I wouldn't, but it gets to the heart of what I was talking about before with Love, that all it takes is one team to fall in love with his unique game. If he's 6'10" in shoes, I could see a team considering him in the top three.

I voted Mayo, but it's a very uninformed vote. I'm excited about him because people say he's a good defender; I haven't seen the defense firsthand enough to really stand behind it.

I'd trade out of that pick. There is no one outside of the first two players who are clearly better for the Bucks than what will be available in a lower lottery pick. I get the whole BPA thing, but it isn't clear to me that Mayo is a PG and it also isn't clear to me that we are ready to trade Redd. I'm not sure how picking Mayo makes us a better team.

Trade that #3 and get back either a couple of first rounders or a first rounder and a player. If we can shed a bad contract in the process that's all the better.

I agree. I wouldn't have any problems with Mayo but I think the drop-off after Rose and Beasley is huge and if the Bucks can't land one of those two picks (hopefully getting Rose) I'd like to see them trade down and either acquire multiple picks or one pick and a proven vet (perhaps a strong SF, for example).

Mayo has enough size to play sg for sure, and people say he's a good defender. If we're moving forward with Yi and Bogut, we don't need 25 ppg scorers in the backcourt who don't play defense. If Mayo can score 15 ppg, play good defense, and pass almost as well as a point guard (these are all "ifs" since I have only seen him twice), he would be a much better fit than Redd.

I actually don't believe the dropoff from Rose to Mayo is as large as some think. When they went head-to-head, it looked like a wash with many thinking Mayo got the better of Rose.

Personally, I think Mayo went to one of the worst possible schools to showcase his ability. Swap teams and I think Mayo's in serious discussion about the #1 overall.

Yup. If the Bucks could combine the third pick with Simmons or Gadz to get either multiple picks or a pick in the lottery and a proven vet that would be a strong move for the Bucks.

I take Mayo for sure. He has a super smooth jumper that reminds me of Ray Allen, and also has some play making ability reminiscent of Brandon Roy. I just hope he can be a quality defender on this level.

From there, I'd send Redd packing for a sf and/or quality pg. If the bucks can't land good players at either position, I'd move him for draft picks and expiring contracts.

Then you still have CV and Mo as trade bait, and we move forward with a young core of mayo/yi/bogut.

Very tough call on draft Mayo or make a deal. I would probably opt to get rid of a bad contract and pick-up a solid vet or get multiple lower picks. Tough call though!

This is a very good question.....I would hope that who would land the pick to draft Rose would either be Memphis or someone who might be willing to trade down. I would then try to acquire the pick for Rose or trade for Conley.....I see a world of difference between Rose and Mayo.

I think Mayo is the best offensive player in this draft, everything included(yes that even includes Beasley) He has the whole game. A very good jumper that looks very smooth and can drive at will basically with his body. And when he wants to, he can be one of the best defensive players at his position. He shut down people and cut the passing lanes whenever he wanted to in college. If not for Mayo I would defintley want to trade the pick.

I would do the number 3 pick, CV, and simmons for Conley and Miller.

Then Mo for Haslem

Don't know if thats good or not but I'd do it.
