WIN, LOSE, OR DRAW?

Post#1 » by KR4 » Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:43 am

I'm interested to see who was pissed to see us lose, who was happy, and who is indifferent (saw it as a win-win)?

Me personally, I'm dissappointed but see the potential in the draft to come. I really think we are out of gas so the playoffs would have been a nice parade but no real after party.

We sucked donkey balls the last couple months of the year..The playoffs would of been an embarrassment...

Instead Nellie is no longer a God in the Bay Area..

We get the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 14th pick .(ok we get the 14th)....

Things are looking up...

You give Larry Brown a frontline of O'Bryant-Biedrins-Love-Wright and we'd be rocking the NBA world by 09-10.

Its funny how when we win with Beans/al/jax/monta.baron, people say "see nellie, we win when you don't go small"

when we lose with the same lineup, "damn you nellie we lost cuz of small ball"

seriously, the fans who are always blaming something are always just looking for a reason not to expect to win. its a cowards way out... keep looking to win 2-3 years down the road, never expect too much, just stay in purgatory.

Harrington's not a legit PF...We went small the whole year non-stop.

Nellie's brand of smallball is purgatory... how many times in his career does he have to flatline a franchise before people recognize this? The outside shooting Mavs are his greatest success... and they're never getting a ring without an inside presence... Nellie's a great coach except for the integral part of a championship - an inside presence - and he's shown zero interest in trying to develop one...

I would have been glad with either result... selfishly glad if we made the playoffs, glad for the future of this team if we didn't.... So yes, I'm very glad of what happened, for the team.

this loss didn't clinch denver's playoff berth...they have two tough games up ahead and who knows if they'll win em. we should be able to win at least 2 of our remaining games, the Suns game is a little iffy, but with the way we're playing right now we don't deserve to make it.

but i'm also at a draw...i know that realistically, we aren't gonna make much noise in the playoffs anyway, but the homer inside of me thinks we can make a deep playoff run.

Larry Brown and Cohan are supposed to be friends ...I'm going to stay optimistic like always..I'm not going to let the gloom and doomers get me down.

I'm holding out hope the old dummy retires.

I'm sure nothing would make the old prick happier than basking on the beach sipping scotches while he smokes a nice stogie knowing that he still has his hands in Cohan's pockets. He loves getting paid while sitting on the beach.

I am perfectly happy with Harrington playing power forward for 26 minutes a game so long as the other 22 minutes a game at power forward is played by a true power forward or a center-forward tweener.

I never want to see Harrington + Croshere play more than five minutes a game at center again. Gimmicks are OK for five minutes max.

If POB and Kosta couldn't play then we should have kept Mbenga or found somebody else to back up Andris.

Andris played very well tonight.

I'm angry and pissed about the loss and the loss of the season.

I'm angry that we didn't use a bench all year. We never developed a bench. We never made solid moves to ensure that we didn't run our main guys into the ground.

I'm angry that we allow the FO to ignore the trade exception and try to get the guys some help.

I'm angry that we didn't play Beans or Wright enough throughout the year, but overplayed Baron, Tay, and Jax.

I'm angry about Pietrus at PF

Alat center was OK in certain matchups but not for extended periods.

I'm angry that if our identity is to be a running team, then why didn't we use more guys to keep the main core fresher?

I'm angry that the team has been screaming for rebounding and shot blocking and then we ignore the best players to help us through that.

I'm angry that our coach is saying that playing some of the young guys would have cost us the playoffs, when he has no idea if that would have played out.

I'm angry that we have been so good, but yet still will not make the playoffs.
