I found what our recent problem is... I keep picking the Sixers to win so even though I'll be rooting my boys, my devine powers have been holding them back hence...

Must win game to have any chance at the 6th seed. Plus a must win game for the team to have any sort of confidence going into the playoffs. I've also noticed a lot of posters would rather play Detroit than Orlando, but mark me down as wanting to play Orlando.

Detroit Announcer: Philadelphia poses such a difficult challenge because they are so disicplined on the defensive end and when they go out on the break no team in the NBA can beat them. It also hurts that we play a face-up PF. Sixers don't do well with perimeter shooting BUT, when you don't have an accompanying inside game it's so much easier for them to defend us. We really need Antonio McDyess to come alive if we have ANY chance to win this series.

I'd take Detroit any day over Orlando. True, Detroit has the experience but we absolutely DO NOT match up well against Orlando. We'll get swept by Orlando. On the other hand, I think we can at least make it a series against Detroit.

Unfortunately, the way the team has been playing the last two weeks they will not have a good chance in any series.

Hopefully, they can get closer back to where they were by winning these next two games.

Detroit is too veteran and disciplined for me. Of the two team's, if we have any chance of playing our game offensively (creating turnovers, running), it'll be against Orlando. jmo.

I hope we win our last two and Toronto wins their last two. So we can go into the playoffs with momentum against Detroit. Orlando is the nightmare scenario, we match very very poorly vs. them.

I can see the point about Detroit being a better match-up for developing our players. Either way our backs will be against the wall- but against Orlando the team would be reliant on junk defenses and have to hope the opponent misses their threes.

Against Detroit the Sixers would play them straight up. When Green is on the bench the match-ups are at least reasonable, so they will succeed or fail based on how each individual plays defensively. Win or lose, a match-up with the Pistons would be a good measuring stick for the players and organization.

Detroit is a better team than Orlando, but a better matchup for Philly. Philly should want Detroit.

* The Pistons have zero inside presence. Orlando of course has a beast inside.

The Pistons have a tough enough time getting points in the paint. Dalembert makes things that much tougher. Dalembert doesn't have close to the same effect against Orlando. Dwight is unstoppable and Dalembert would most spend most of the series in foul trouble. Detroit goes through stretches where they can really struggle to score because all they do is shoot jumpers.

* The Pistons have a slow point guard. Orlando has a quick PG.

I would expect Miller to do a better job against Chauncey than he would Nelson who is just too quick for Miller. Miller can't keep Nelson from penetrating and Orlando is really hard to beat if you can't control Nelson.

* The Pistons struggle against speed and athleticism. AI2, Thadd and Lou Will are much tougher for Detroit to guard than Orlando. Orlando has Dooling, Bogans and Mo Evans to throw at AIG and Lou. Rip can't guard AI2. Chauncey can't guard Miller and Stuckey off the bench can't guard Lou or anyone else.

Also Willie Green has actually played decent against his hometown.

I am not predicting Philly to beat Detroit simply because Detroit has homecourt and Philly is too young, but Detroit is a better matchup in my opinion. Orlando's inside/out game is too potent for Philly. Detroit's outside/out game isn't too potent. Philly has a chance.
