TV schedule decision..

Post#1 » by doctaJ_92 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:39 pm

Apparently this is going to be the tv schedule for the weekend:

Saturday, April 19
3:00 PM: First round Game 1 (ABC)
5:30 PM: First round Game 1 (ESPN)
8:00 PM: First round Game 1 (ESPN)
10:30 PM: First round Game 1 (ESPN)

Sunday, April 20
3:00 PM: First round Game 1 (ABC)
5:30 PM: First round Game 1 (TNT)
8:00 PM: First round Game 1 (TNT)
10:30 PM: First round Game 1 (TNT)

My question is, wouldnt it be more profitable and logical in regards to viewership for the stations and Stern to have the quadruple header to start at 1 and have the last game at 9pm start? That way more of the east coast can/will watch the late(likely best) game? Or is it just a question of the home teams arena not being available or fear that the people on the west coast wont like the 6pm start? Or will less people watch at 1pm vs 1030pm? What's the deal here?
